About Hybridization Oven
Hybridization Oven
Specification
These double walled units have outer chamber of M.S. sheet duly painted and inner of S.S. Temperature range from 5°C above ambient to 90°C is controlled through a PI Digital Temperature Controller with an accuracy of + 0.5°C. An air circulation fan is also provided to ensure temperature uniformity. A carrier to hold bottles (6 in number of size 60 mm. dia x 200 mm. depth) can be easily place on the rotor. The carrier rotates at a variable speed of 2 to 16 rpm. Viewing glass window in the door allows inspection of the specimen inside the chamber. To work on 220/230 volts A.C.
Precise and Adjustable RotationThe adjustable rotisserie system allows you to set speeds between 515 rpm, optimizing hybridization for various sample types. This feature ensures thorough mixing and uniform sample treatment, which is critical when working with sensitive nucleic acid and protein analyses.
Programmable Convenience and Reliable DisplayEasily monitor and control your experiments using the large digital LCD display coupled with a timer programmable up to 99 hours 59 minutes. This enables scientists to set lengthy protocols without constant supervision, improving workflow efficiency and experiment consistency.
Durable Construction and Safety AssuredThe oven features a toughened glass door for simple viewing without disruption, and an over-temperature protection alarm to safeguard samples. Removable stainless steel shelves and the robust inner chamber are tailored for longevity and effortless maintenance.
FAQs of Hybridization Oven:
Q: How do I adjust the rotisserie speed for my hybridization experiments?
A: The HYB-250 Hybridization Oven comes with a control panel that lets you set the rotisserie speed between 5 and 15 rpm. This flexibility allows you to customize the mixing intensity based on your specific DNA, RNA, or protein hybridization protocols.
Q: What types of samples and applications is this oven suitable for?
A: This oven is ideal for various laboratory hybridization experiments, including DNA, RNA, and protein analyses. The uniform air circulation and accurate temperature control make it suitable for even the most sensitive assays.
Q: When should I use the programmable timer feature?
A: The programmable timer, capable of up to 99 hours and 59 minutes, is especially useful for protocols requiring extended incubation periods. Setting the timer ensures precise duration for hybridization steps, enhancing experiment reliability.
Q: Where should the oven be placed for optimal performance?
A: Position the oven on a sturdy, level surface in a well-ventilated laboratory area. Ensure there is sufficient clearance around the device for proper air circulation and easy access to the door and controls.
Q: What is the process for cleaning and maintaining the oven?
A: After use, remove the stainless steel shelves and wipe them along with the interior using a non-corrosive disinfectant. The robust materials allow easy maintenance, ensuring the oven remains in optimal condition for repeated use.
Q: How does the over-temperature protection work and what are its benefits?
A: If the internal temperature exceeds the set limits, the oven triggers an alarm and activates the over-temperature protection system. This safety feature prevents experiment failure and protects valuable samples from heat damage.
Q: What are the benefits of using forced air convection and precise temperature accuracy in this oven?
A: Forced air convection ensures uniform heat distribution throughout the 60-litre chamber, while a temperature accuracy of 0.5C guarantees reproducible results. This consistent environment promotes reliable hybridization and high experimental success rates.
