About High Pressure Vertical Autoclave with Radial Lock
Triple Wall High Pressure Vertical Autoclave Sterilizer
- Construction: - Triple walled construction, all the three walls are made of thick high grade stainless steel sheet of SS-304 grade. The lid is made of stainless steel sheet. The unit is fitted with radial locking system with paddle lifting device, made of MS chrome plated. Provided with built- in safety valve, pressure gauge, pressure release valve and water level indicator. The pressure is adjustable from 5 psi to 20 psi with automatic pressure control switch, which controls the pressure with an accuracy of +/- 1 psi. Supplied complete with stainless steel basket, chord and plug.
- Mode of Heating: - Electrically heated by special flange type/immersion type heaters bearing ISI mark, to work on 220 volts single phase 50 cycles.
- Working Pressure: - The pressure inside the chamber is variable from 5 psi. to 20 psi. But the normal recommended pressure for sterilization process is 1.2 kgf/cm sq.g ( 15 psi - 17 psi).
- Working Temperature : 121 C .
- Hydrotest Pressure : 2.5 kgf/cm sq.g ( 20 psi).
Advanced Chamber ConstructionThe autoclave features a seamless, double-wall stainless steel chamber, ensuring consistent heat distribution and corrosion resistance. The high-grade mineral wool insulation reduces heat loss, maximizing energy efficiency and maintaining optimal operating temperatures throughout each sterilization cycle.
Reliable Radial Locking SystemA special heavy-duty radial lock with pressure interlock guarantees maximum safety during high-pressure operations. The thick stainless steel lid, paired with silicon/rubber gaskets, creates a secure and leak-proof seal, further enhanced by automatic safety valves and pressure release mechanisms for safe, smooth operation.
Automated Digital Controls and VersatilityThis unit is equipped with a programmable digital PID controller, LED display, and automatic timer, allowing precise control over sterilization cycles (099 minutes) and accommodating temperature resistance up to 134C. The autoclave is available in multiple capacities and can be customized for specific laboratory requirements.
FAQs of High Pressure Vertical Autoclave with radial Lock:
Q: How does the radial locking system enhance user safety during operation?
A: The radial locking system is engineered to securely seal the lid, engaging a pressure safety interlock that prevents the autoclave from being opened while under pressure. This design significantly reduces the risk of accidental exposure to high-pressure steam, ensuring operator safety during every sterilization cycle.
Q: What types of materials can be sterilized using this autoclave?
A: This autoclave is suitable for sterilizing laboratory instruments, glassware, media, surgical tools, and other research materials that can withstand high temperatures (up to 134C) and pressures (up to 2.1 kg/cm). Its stainless steel construction provides long-lasting resistance to corrosion and contamination.
Q: When should I use a programmable sterilization cycle timer?
A: The programmable cycle timer (099 minutes) should be set based on the type and quantity of items being sterilized. Use shorter times for lightly soiled items and longer cycles for heavily contaminated or bulky loads to ensure complete sterilization.
Q: Where can this autoclave be installed in a laboratory setting?
A: Designed as a floor-standing unit with support legs and castor wheels, the autoclave can be installed in laboratories, hospitals, research centers, and industrial environments. Its customizable chamber diameters and capacities make it adaptable to various available laboratory spaces.
Q: What is the process for draining water after a sterilization cycle?
A: After completing a sterilization cycle and allowing the chamber to cool, simply use the integrated drain valve to empty the water safely. This process helps maintain hygiene and prepares the autoclave for the next operation.
Q: How does the digital PID control system benefit laboratory users?
A: The automatic digital PID controller ensures accurate temperature (1C) and pressure (0.1 kg/cm) regulation. This precision leads to reproducible sterilization results, reduces human error, and safeguards delicate samples during the process.
Q: What are the main advantages of using a seamless stainless steel chamber?
A: A seamless chamber design minimizes the risk of leakage and contamination, offers superior durability, and is easier to clean. The use of high-quality stainless steel (SS-304/316) extends the life of the equipment while resisting corrosion even after repeated exposure to high-pressure steam.
